At the Theatre BC Greater Vancouver Zone Festival held April 26 to May 2 at Metro Theatre in Vancouver, Delta’s newest theatre group Get Real Theatre came away with the coveted Best Production Award for their play “Eleemosynary” by Lee Blessing. Adjudicator Jeff Hyslop selected the group to represent the Greater Vancouver Zone at the Provincial Mainstage Festival to be held at the ACT Theatre in Maple Ridge in July. The group will perform there July 8. Karen Golden received the Best Female Actor award for her portrayal of Dorothea.

A friend & I were privileged to be in the audience at the Tsawwassen Arts Centre last Sat. to experience your memorable production of “Eleemosynary”. It was outstanding. I am telling everyone I know about your incredibly talented theatre company. All 3 actors portrayed their characters with such conviction & passion. It was a totally flawless & seamless performance.
